Hartlepool United have prepared for Saturday’s match at Solihull Moors by training at a different venue every day this week due to the poor weather.

Pools’ East Durham College training base was out of use this week meaning Dave Challinor’s side had to train inside at The Domes in Hartlepool on Monday before making the journey to the Beacon of Light in Sunderland on Tuesday.

After a day off on Wednesday, there were more familiar surroundings for Hartlepool on Thursday morning as they trained at Victoria Park.

The squad will travel down to the West Midlands on Friday where they have another state of the art training venue lined up.

“It’s been difficult to have a spring in your step this week, the weather has been horrendous and we’ve had to change where we’ve trained every day,” said Challinor.

“It’s not ideal but we’ve got out what we’ve wanted to get out of it, especially on Tuesday. But after a win, everyone has been bright and positive looking ahead to Saturday.

“We’ve been on 3G which hasn’t been ideal but we’re at the ground today which will give us the chance to embed things as a team on a proper pitch going into Saturday.

“It’s a tough game but we have to go there and be aggressive and expansive in terms of how we play.

“We’ll work on that this morning and then travel down and train at Aston Villa tomorrow so those facilities should be all right!”
