Molyneux grabbed a goal and an assist to help Pools claim a 2-0 win at home to Aldershot Town and move into the top 10.
The 21-year-old’s goal was something he’d been thinking about since suffering a serious foot injury back in July.

The Hartlepool winger ran towards the north west corner and was quickly smothered by his celebrating teammates.
“I didn’t know what to do, I just ran and the emotions just took over a little bit,” he added.
“Ryan was saying to me when I was celebrating just to enjoy it and take it all in, which is exactly what I did. The goal obviously settled things for everyone because it’s not easy when you come up against a team like they were.

“The gaffer has told me to take any set-plays so it was an all right ball in and a good header from Shelts [Mark Shelton] to be fair!”
