Kabongo Tshimanga gave The Wood the lead inside the opening minute as the home side dominated the first half.
But straight after the restart, Gime Toure levelled things up with his first goal since December shortly before Killip saved a Sorba Thomas penalty after Nicky Featherstone was penalised for handball.

1. Ben Killip - 8
Couldn’t do much about the opening goal after pulling off a good save which fell into the path of KabTshimanga. Helped Pools earn a point with a second-half penalty save to deny Sorba Thomas. Photo: Frank Reid
2. Mark Kitching - 7
A positive attacking display from the left-back who worked tirelessly down the left hand side. Photo: Mark Fletcher
3. Timi Odusina - 4
All over the place at times as Boreham Wood should have been out of sight following a very shaky first-half display. Improved in the second half but fortunate not to give away a penalty for handball before Featherstone was punished. Photo: Mark Fletcher
4. Gary Liddle - 4
The pace and movement of the Boreham Wood frontline was proving tough to handle for the vetran defender who was still able to make some important tackles and headers. Was arguably at fault in the build-up to Boreham Wood's opener after conceding a cheap corner. Photo: Mark Fletcher
