9. L: Joe Allen
The Stoke midfielder was sent off in the 12th minute for a challenge on Bristol City's Josh Brownhill when the Potters were 1-0 up at the Bet365 Stadium. Stoke lost the game 2-1 but manager Nathan Jones didn't blame Allen and said they may appeal the decision. “It’s Joe Allen, so it’s not a malicious challenge," said Jones. "If it was somebody I didn’t respect and was a thug you could go a little bit mental at them. Photo: Michael Regan
10. L: George Puscas
After receiving lots of praise in the build-up to Reading's game at Middlesbrough, the Romanian striker was left on the bench at the Riverside. “Puscas didn’t start, Lucas Joao didn’t start and Pele didn’t start,” said manager Jose Gomes after the game. “First they had travelled for their national team, Pele and Puscas, and just arrived at the end of the week but that was not the only reason. The reason was that I did not like the way that they played in the last game." Photo: Alex Davidson
