Hartlepool United’s first National League match of 2021 against Halifax Town has been postponed.

The game was set to kick-off at 3pm this afternoon as second placed Pools looked to make it four league wins in a row but a spell of bad weather and sub-zero temperatures in Halifax mean a pitch inspection took place at 9am on Saturday morning.

And the surface at The Shay was deemed unplayable shortly afterwards.
