1. Paddy McNair - June 2018
The Northern Ireland international completed the switch from Sunderland to Boro for a reported £5million fee. After a frustrating first season at the Riverside, when he barely featured under Tony Pulis, McNair has excelled in his natural central midfield role this term. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
2. Aden Flint - June 2018
Things didn't work out for the towering centre-back on Teesside. After a so-so first season at the Riverside, Flint was sold to Cardiff the following summer. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
3. Andy Lonergan - August 2018
Signed on a free, the experienced goalkeeper made just two appearances for Boro - both in the EFL Cup. Remarkably, the 36-year-old ended up at Liverpool in the summer due to a lack of senior keepers at Anfield. | 2019 Liverpool FC Photo: Andrew Powell
4. Jordan Hugill - August 2018
The Boro-born frontman returned to Teesside on a season-long loan deal yet his spell at the Riverside was a little underwhelming. Hugill managed six goals in 37 Championship appearances for Tony Pulis' side. | 2019 Getty Images Photo: Tony Marshall
