Adam Reach confident Middlesbrough can continue winning ways against Derby County

The winger provided two assists during the weekend’s 5-1 demolition of Millwall and has established himself as Aitor Karanka’s favoured option on the left-wing.

The Boro academy graduate knows the formula that is required to achieve promotion – “consistency, picking up points away from home and making sure the home form is good,” he reeled off – but says that selecting two teams who will go up automatically is not yet possible.

“It’s tight, no team’s managed to break away yet,” he told SportMail with Boro sitting two points shy of table-toppers and tomorrow’s opponents Derby County.

“There are five or six who are consistently up there and I think we’ll stay up there.

“We’re doing our job and we’re not focusing on the table. The table will take care of itself if you take the Championship like that.

“Come March if you put the work in and get the results, that’s the time to look at the table. Hopefully we’ll be right up there.

“Saturday’s aim was to get three points and we did that so we move onto Derby and look for more three points.”
