Traore, 24, has been making a big impact at Wolves this season after moving to Molineux from Boro two years ago.

"Some people don't know that before him I wasn't playing a lot (at Boro)," Traore told TalkSport.

"After he came he trusted me and spoke with me a lot. He was great. I still have contact with him. He taught me how to play in this position, a wing-back and a winger - working a lot on maintaining position, defending, maintaining shape.

"He helped me in this position and in this way to start improving myself, he's been a massive figure."

Traore has been linked with a move away from Wolves in recent months, with Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly tracking him, yet former England international Joe Cole believes the winger should stay put under the guidance of Nuno Espirito Santo.
