Neil Warnock's men secured all three points with a commanding 3-0 win over Stoke City at the weekend – a result that kept them within eight points of the play-off places.

By contrast, Preston suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of bottom club Wycombe, and are now languishing 15th in the table.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Tuesday night’s clash with Boro, Prutton predicted that North End could be in for more woe too.
