Neil Warnock's men secured all three points with a commanding 3-0 win over Stoke City at the weekend – a result that kept them within eight points of the play-off places.

By contrast, Preston suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of bottom club Wycombe, and are now languishing 15th in the table.
