Middlesbrough recorded morale-boosting 5-1 win over Watford at the Riverside - but how did each player fare for Kim Hellberg’s side?
Boro opened the scoring when Morgan Whittaker scored an excellent free-kick in the 6th minute. Watford then had chances to equalise before David Strelec bundled home a second on the stroke of half time to make it 2-0.
The hosts conceded early in the second half when James Abankwah pulled one back, before Whittaker added his second of the game 10 minutes later. Tommy Conway then came off the bench and scored from the penalty spot, before adding a fifth.
Here’s how each Boro player fared:

5. Alex Bangura - 5
Started on the left of a back four and made a few forward runs with the ball. Had a few heavy touches after returning to the side. Was replaced at half time. 5 | Getty Images

6. Aidan Morris - 8
Was the heartbeat of the team again, covering plenty of ground between both boxes. Regularly looked to take the ball and drive the team forward, while working hard to win it back. 8 | Getty Images

7. Alex Gilbert - 6
Made a few loose passes in the early exchanges in a central midfield position. Improved as the game went on and did play an excellent throughball to release Whittaker down the right in the build up to Strelec’s goal. 6 | Getty Images

8. Jeremy Sarmiento - 6
Started in a central number 10 position before moving to the right in the second half. Often took several touches when he was in the final third and looked for an opening. Took a knock and was withdrawn in the second half. 6 | Getty Images
