The 28-year-old joined Boro on loan from Fulham on transfer deadline day and has come into the starting XI alongside Anfernee Dijksteel and Britt Assombalonga.

Dael Fry isn’t in the squad after suffering a calf injury at Norwich last time out, while Marvin Johnson and Djed Spence have dropped to the bench.

@SmoggyOnTour: Wow, what a team, what a bench, we have a hell of a squad all of a sudden, strength in depth everywhere!

@HazelClay: Decent side, let's hope that front line is as strong as it looks

@BurkeyfromBoro: Interesting first XI including a new look front 3 & a strong bench. Although it’ll be a tough game against a good side I’m looking forward to the game. Hopefully we go at them and give them a game ... UTB

@RoyallyLad: Up the Democratic Republic of Teesside

@JoeScottGraps: No messing about from Warnock Straight Into the Starting 11 for Neeskens Kebano

@PhiliusBoro: Squad suddenly looks so much stronger

@NickBeall73: Good positive starting 11 for Boro today. But Brentford are flying and a very good side so I’d be happy with a point today.

@Smithy_MFC84: It’s a Congolese hat-trick! Shame that Fry is out, but buzzing to see Dijksteel back in there, a more than able replacement at centre back. That front three looks exciting though, interested to see what understanding they have.
