Many were also impressed by Saville’s performance in midfield – here’s how some fans reacted on social media:
@andymacca8: George Saville by the way heartbeat of the team now
@lewisyates20: Take the first 25 minutes out of this game, what a performance from @Boro ! MOTM is Saville absolutely brilliant today, the fight and work rate from every player was class. I would love to see that Assombalonga every week, absolutely top class!

Hide Ad@wanaldinho: Not going to argue with that one today. Britt was like a man on a mission, was fantastic, just needs to do it more often. Wing was great too but we all know what Wing has in his locker. All in all a great team performance and a well deserved 3 points. Saville is a man on fire
@BoroFansUnited: Brilliant results. Can't believe we actually scored 4 goals in 1 game...and away too.
@Smithy_MFC84: What a fantastic way to sign off before Christmas! Four goals in a game, and a win that takes us into the play-off spots. Well in #Boro and well in Warnock!
@dazzabesst: What a performance, couldn’t even pick 1 man of the match, Britt looked back to his best though

Hide Ad@jimmylees: Warnock knows what he’s doing. He knows who to rotate and when. Love him me like
@smoggyontour86: Biggest compliment I can give Warnock is if he can work his magic with this Boro squad which is very limited and average what he would do if we can attract 3 or 4 very good players in Jan.
