Middlesbrough made some quality signings, bringing in the likes of Chuba Akpom and Grant Hall, and they also moved on a number of players to freshen up the squad. Here's a look at how every player to leave the Riverside Stadium last summer is getting on now.

2. Ryan Shotton - Released
The 32-year-old was heavily-linked with a move to Australian side Melbourne Victory, alongside former Boro teammate Rudy Gestede. However, the move is yet to come to fruition, and he remains a free agent. Photo: Jan Kruger
3. George Friend - Birmingham City - Permanent deal
Upon his release, Friend was snapped up by the Blues. The versatile 33-year-old has been a key part of Birmingham's defence this season, helping them keep five clean sheets thus far. Photo: Michael Regan
4. Adam Clayton - Birmingham City - Permanent deal
Similarly, Clayton also joined the Blues when his deal was up at Boro. He's not featured as much Friend, and was sent off in October in a 1-0 loss to recently-relegated Norwich City. Photo: Tony Marshall
