The Teessiders came from behind to draw 1-1 with Cardiff last time out but are now five points off a play-off place after other results went against them.
Paddy McNair scored Boro’s equliser against the Bluebirds while substitutes Neeskens Kebano, Djed Spence and Chuba Akpom all contributed to the goal.
Boro have played with a back three and wing-backs in recent matches and are likely to stick with a similar system due to the way Coventry play.
The Sky Blues are 20th in the table, six points above the relegation zone, following a 1-1 draw with Blackburn last time out.
Here’s the side our Boro writer Joe Nicholson would play for the game at St Andrew’s:

Has struggled in recent weeks but made an impact off the bench against Cardiff and has linked up well with Watmore in the past. Photo: Getty Images
