After falling behind to Ismaila Sarr’s opener in the first half, Boro drew level when Paddy McNair’s free-kick was headed home by substitute Yannick Bolasie 12 minutes from time.

Boro centre-back Grant Hall was awarded Sky Sports’ man of the match award and received praise after the match for his dominant display at the back.

@RiversideObser1: It was never going to be a spectacle if Boro were to get something from the game but they deserve praise for an impressive defensive performance against a brilliant front line. Grant Hall deserves massive praise for his performance today.

@garymarz: Can only presume Warnock is telling the press a different story to what he's telling the players. Because we didn't look for a second like we wanted to win that game, even after equalising. Running the clock down and slowing the game down. A difficult watch.

@durhamchris1983: Fair result, Watford seemed in control of the first half, but Boro kept going and got a deserved point. Showed good character.

@smoggyontour86: Take it and run. Fisher and Hall immense today.

@adamski80mfc: Grant Hall has been outstanding since getting his fitness back after his injury. Hopefully has a full season next season with Fry.

@Geoffre77831787: Good point against one of the two best sides in the division. The substitutions changed the game. Well done NW!

@Smithy_MFC84: Unsure as to why we didn’t throw the kitchen sink at them, a point does nothing for us really. We didn’t get beat, which is a positive, and the second half was definitely better, with the goal a moment of real quality.

@josephjames612: Not a great performance but a point that is needed. Utb

@Mohommer63: Better second half and good energy from Bolasie, Kebano and Watmore. Superb ball from Paddy for the goal, however Watford's urgency and the lack of it from Boro tells you all you need to know about the mindset.

@quarantiern: That was a pretty good second half to be fair, we are very much agricultural but we were very solid and gave them little to work with. Good point
