The Teessiders have made significant improvements since last year but Warnock will still feel his side should have more points on the board.
A 1-0 defeat at Millwall last time out was hugely frustrating for the Boro boss, whose side are now six points off the play-off positions.
There have been plenty of impressive performances this season, though, which included a 10-game unbeaten run at the start of the campaign.
Boro have also made several new signings over the last 12 months, with Grant Hall, Marcus Bettinelli, Sam Morsy and Chuba Akpom joining in the summer transfer window.
Duncan Watmore, Darnell Fisher, Yannick Bolasie, Neeskens Kebano and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing have also arrived on Teesside during the campaign.
Our Boro writer has rated every player’s performances based on their individual displays and overall contribution to the side this season.
1. Marcus Bettinelli - 6.5
It's been a mixed season for the Fulham loanee. Bettinelli has kept 13 clean sheets in the Championship this season but has also made some costly mistakes. 6.5 Photo: Alex Burstow
2. Anfernee Dijksteel - 8
After an injury-hit 2019/20 season, the defender has taken his game to another level this campaign. Dijksteel has performed well on the right of a back three and at right-back. Unfortunately he has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Photo: George Wood
3. Grant Hall - 7
It's been a frustrating first season at Boro for the centre-back who has only made 11 league appearances due to injury setbacks. Since returning to the first team in February, Hall has been excellent in the heart of the Teessiders defence, which is a testament to his character and determination to get back. 7 Photo: Stu Forster
4. Dael Fry - 9
Warnock has consistently praised the 23-year-old centre-back who has been at the heart of Boro's defence for most of the campaign. Fry has looked back to his best this season and been a commanding figure at the back. 9 Photo: Getty Images
