The Republic of Ireland international has been out with a thigh injury since the end of November and is expected to be sidelined for at least another week.

When asked about Randolph ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup meeting against Tottenham, Woodgate said: “Darren is a Middlesbrough player, there’s no updates on that until I tell you otherwise. He’s an important player for me and the squad.”

“No one has come in for him with a bid so we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”

Boro have already been busy in the transfer market bringing in Patrick Roberts and Lukas Nmecha on loan from Manchester City.

When asked if he expects any more signings this month, Woodgate said: “I’ll have to see what happens.”
