Championship clubs are unanimously keen to complete the season when safe to do so following the coronavirus outbreak.

A series of EFL meetings were scheduled this week, including video conferences on Monday and Tuesday.

Further discussions are set to take place in the coming days, following last week’s announcement that the season will be postponed until at least April 3.

Many believe that suspension will be extended, especially after UEFA’s decision to delay this summer’s European Championships.

UEFA have also announced they hope Europe’s domestic leagues can be completed by June 30, before many players will see their contracts expire.

Various reports have claimed all 24 Championship clubs want to complete the season and fulfil the remaining nine fixtures.

The final round of Championship games were due to take place on Saturday, May 2, yet the postponement of EURO 2020 will give clubs extra time.

Leeds and West Brom occupy the automatic promotion places in England’s second tier.
