Neil Warnock’s men picked up a valuable three points against Coventry City in midweek to build on their 1-1 draw with Cardiff City last weekend, and are currently ninth in the table, five points off the play-off places.

For their part, Swansea have endured a chequered spell of late, and have lost two of their last four matches.

The Swans are are still fourth in the table, however, and hold the advantage of having two games in hand on all of the sides above them.

Looking ahead to this weekend, Prutton has suggested that they will pick up all three points against Boro.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I'm looking forward to this one!

"To say it was dramatic at the end of Swansea's win at Stoke would be an understatement, but what a win it was, and it really does propel them perfectly into this game.

“We know what Middlesbrough are capable of under Neil Warnock. They are hard to beat and have had a decent week, so this could be a well-poised game.

"But I think the Swans will just have a little too much by the end.”

Prutton forecasts a 2-1 Swansea win.

Middlesbrough actually won the last meeting between the two sides, recording a 2-1 victory when they met at the beginning of December.

Duncan Watmore scored both goals that night, with Yan Dhanda bagging a consolation for the visitors in the closing stages.
