Boro have previously been credited with interest in Polish winger Kamil Grosicki, who remains at West Brom after a deadline day move to Nottingham Forest collapsed, and the link has since resurfaced.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Teessiders are interested in Grosicki, 31, after missing out on Everton’s Yannick Bolasie last month.

Forest could also reignite their interest in the Polish international.

Televised fixtures announced

Boro’s draw with Blackburn on Tuesday was shown live on Sky Sports, yet Warnock’s side won’t have another televised fixture for at least another month.

That’s because Sky have announced their latest batch of live games up until Wednesday, December 9.

In that time Boro will face Brentford, Norwich, Derby, Huddersfield, Swansea, Stoke and Preston.

It means all of the aforementioned games will be played on the dates they were originally scheduled for.

EFL fans can continue to watch their teams via a stream provided by the clubs’ websites.

Mowbray praises Pears

Finally, Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray has praised goalkeeper Aynsley Pears after the young stopper kept his first clean sheet for Rovers.

Pears was awarded Blackburn’s man of the match during Tuesday’s draw with Boro and made a fine save to keep out Marcus Tavernier’s deflected effort in the second half.

"I’m pleased to see him get a clean sheet, especially against his old club in Middlesbrough," Mowbray told iFollow Rovers after the encounter.

“He has plenty of growth in him, as a lot of our players have. I remember he tipped one over the bar.

“Aynsley has a clean sheet and is still only a young boy, but he has to affect the crosses more and be braver with his starting positions.

“He needs to improve his kicking and has a lot still to learn. But he wasn’t brought here to be the number one in our goal, he was brought here to improve, to develop and get better.”
