Middlesbrough boss Jonathan Woodgate still believes defender Harold Moukoudi will play in the Premier League – despite a tricky start to life at the Riverside.

The 22-year-old has started Boro’s last three games since his loan move from St Etienne, yet the Teessiders have conceded six goals in those matches.

Moukoudi has shown signs of his potential, though, and Woodgate thinks the player will have plenty of offers this summer.

“Harold Moukoudi is a young lad, plenty of ability, huge potential,” said Woodgate ahead of Saturday’s trip to Barnsley.

“Nothing has changed my opinion, he can go and play in the Premier League. Someone will get their hands on him next year, people will look to buy him in the summer.”

Forshaw starts road to recovery

Former Boro midfielder Adam Forshaw was ruled out until the end of the season last week after it was revealed he requires surgery for a hip injury.

The 28-year-old, now at Leeds, hasn’t played since September and admitted he’s in the ‘worst period’ of his career.

Forshaw has begun his recovery, though, and posted a positive picture on Instagram earlier this week.

With an image of himself on an exercise bike, Forshaw posted: No filter could make my legs look any browner but glad to be on the road to recovery anyway.”

Charlton ticket details

Finally, tickets for Boro’s trip to Charlton next month will go on general sale later today.

Boro will travel to the Valley on Saturday March 7, and received an initial allocation of 2,000 tickets.
