Hearts manager Robbie Neilson says there was a lot of interest in striker Armand Gnanduillet before he joined the SPL club.
The 28-year-old frontman, who was a free agent after leaving Turkish side Altay in December, penned an 18-month contract at Tynecastle this week.
Boro were loosely linked with Gnanduillet back in the summer while several other EFL clubs were credited with interest.
