Middlesbrough FC transfer news: Jonathan Woodgate reveals thoughts on Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts
Woodgate all but confirmed Boro are chasing the 22-year-old who looks set to be recalled from a loan spell at Norwich.
Roberts has made just three Premier League appearances for the Canaries this season but is highly rated after impressing on loan at Celtic during the 2016/17 campaign.

Hide AdWhen asked about reports linking Boro with the wideman, Woodgate said: “He's been linked: very good player, very, very talented player.
“Let's see if we can get something done, nothing is done yet. If it does we'll let you know. He's a player I like.”
“I don't want to say anything on it at the minute, it's a long way to go. He's a player I like.”
Despite four straight wins in the Championship, Boro’s squad remains extremely thin, while several injury setbacks haven’t helped the situation.

Hide AdWoodgate is hopeful more players will join the Teessiders during the January transfer window, but is well aware of the league’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
When asked if Boro are looking to sign players on loan or permanently, Woodgate replied: “I'm sure there will be a little bit there if we want it, but like I say there’s Financial Fair Play.”
The Boro boss also repeated the club don’t need to sell their best players to raise funds this month.
