Clarke, 19, was recalled by Spurs due to his lack of game time at Elland Road and will now be allowed to go out on loan again to aid his development.

According to Sky Sports, Millwall, QPR and Stoke City are also interested in the player who moved from Tottenham to Leeds for a reported £10million fee in the summer.

In terms of outgoings, goalkeeper Darren Randolph is on the verge of leaving the Riverside this month.

The Republic of Ireland international is close to re-joining former side West Ham for a reported £4million fee, yet there have been suggestions of a hold up in the deal.

According to West Ham website Claret and Hugh, the Hammers are facing an anxious delay after Randolph underwent a medical on Tuesday.

It has been claimed the stopper will have a second medical today, with a deal still expected to be completed.

Randolph has been sidelined since the end of November with a thigh injury.

Defender recalled

Finally, Boro have recalled defender Sam Stubbs from his loan spell at Hamilton Academical.

The 21-year-old made 19 SPL appearances during his time in Scotland and is now expected to be loaned out to Dutch top-flight club ADO Den Haag.

Stubbs will link-up with former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew who was appointed Den Haag's head coach in December.
