Middlesbrough FC transfer rumours: New name linked with loan move plus Sean Dyche's Ben Gibson response
Burnley’s Ben Gibson and Bournemouth’s Jack Simpson have been mentioned this week. and it’s likely the Teessiders will be looking at loan signings to bolster their squad.
Another name which emerged over the weekend is Tottenham’s Cameron Carter-Vickers, who returned from a loan spell at Stoke earlier this month.

Hide AdAccording to TeamTalk, Fulham, Derby, Huddersfield and Boro have asked if they can take the 22-year-old on loan for the rest of the season.
Dyche remains coy on Ben Gibson
Burnley boss Sean Dyche has repeatedly been asked about Gibson in recent weeks.
Boro are interested in re-signing the defender on loan, while Watford, Fulham and Huddersfield have also been linked with the 27-year-old.
Gibson missed Burnley’s 2-1 defeat to Norwich with a niggling groin injury, and has made just one first-team appearance this season.

Assombalonga report
Another player who has been linked with a move in January is Boro striker Britt Assombalonga, with Leeds United and Bristol City reportedly interested.
Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate has said the club don’t need to sell this month, yet according to the Sunday People the Teessiders are aiming to lower their wage bill.
Assombalonga is one of the higher earners and the report claims the striker could be up for sale.
