Middlesbrough handed FA Cup away tie, Liverpool set to face Aston Villa plus Tottenham to meet non-league side

Middlesbrough have been handed an away trip to Brentford in the third-round of the FA Cup.

Neil Warnock’s side will travel to the Brentford Community Stadium on the weekend commencing January 9.

That falls after the Teessiders’ trip to Wycombe on Saturday, January 2 and before a home game against Birmingham on Saturday, January 16.

The match will follow Brentford’s home game against Bristol City at the start of 2021.

Boro played out a goalless draw with the Bees at the start of November when the sides met in the Championship.

Brentford are seventh in the table after 14 league games, two points ahead of Boro who were beaten 3-2 at Huddersfield on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Premier League leaders Tottenham will travel to Northern Premier League side Marine F.C in the third round.

Premier League champions Liverpool face an away trip to Aston Villa, the team which beat the Reds 7-2 earlier this season.
