In a shock move, the 26-year-old left MK Dons to sign for the French club last year, with the undisclosed fee reported to be in the region of £1million.

Healey has scored nine goals in 19 games in Ligue 2 and has just over two years remaining on his contract at Stadium de Toulouse.

Yet according to TeamTalk, West Brom and Boro are among those chasing his signature, while it’s also been claimed Sheffield United, Norwich and Bournemouth have all checked on the forward’s progress.

Reading hope for fitness boost

Next up for Boro is a trip to play-off rivals Reading this weekend.

The Royals are fifth in the Championship following a 2-0 win at Bristol City last time out.

Midfielder Josh Laurent missed that match with a knock but could return to face Boro.

“Josh Laurent received a knock in the game against Millwall, and we thought it was important for him to rest,” said Reading boss Veljko Paunovic.

"We didn’t want to risk anything – he will benefit from that, and will come back as soon as possible.”

Coventry time change

Finally, Boro’s meeting with Coventry City on Tuesday March 2 will now kick-off at the earlier time of 7pm – rather than 7:45pm.

The match will take place at the Sky Blues’ temporary home of St Andrew's Stadium.
