Josh Coburn nets a hat-trick

Teenage striker Josh Coburn is set to be part of Boro’s senior squad for their final five games of the season.

The 18-year-old has impressed for the club’s youth sides this campaign and caught the eye of first-team boss Neil Warnock.

Coburn continued his impressive form by scoring a hat-trick for Boro’s Under-17 side in the Premier League Cup semi-final against Blackburn on Wednesday.

Boro came from behind to win 5-2, with fellow striker Calum Kavanagh and midfielder Jack Stott also getting on the scoresheet.

Mark Tinkler's side will now face either Leicester or Brighton in the final.

Neeskens Kebano report

Several Boro players face uncertain futures ahead of the summer transfer window, including players who are on loan at the Riverside.

Fulham loanee Neeskens Kebano joined the Teessiders in January and still has one year left on his contract at his parent club.

According to Football League World, Boro will ask about the availability of Kebano at the end of the campaign, yet the report claims the winger is likely to stay at Fulham.

Scott Parker’s side are six points from safety with six games to play in the top tier.

Kebano has made 14 Championship appearances for Boro since January and scored his only goal for the club in a 2-1 defeat at Derby County.

Former Middlesbrough midfielder set to become free agent

Finally, Boro’s Championship rivals Reading are reportedly lining up a move to sign Everton’s Mo Besic.

The Bosnian international, who had two separate loan spells at Boro under Tony Pulis, will see his contract at Goodison Park expire this summer

According to the Telegraph, the 28-year-old is wanted by Reading after being made surplus to requirements at Everton.

After leaving Boro at the end of the 2018/19 season, Besic joined Sheffield United on loan but made just 13 appearances for the Blades in all competitions.
