As things stand, Boro sit 10th in the table after an inconsistent run of form of late, with their hopes of reaching the play-offs all but ended last weekend after a 2-0 loss to fellow promotion-chasers Barnsley.
Still, Neil Warnock's side will be looking to finish the season on a high, as they look to continue their rebuild over the summer and come back raring to go for the 2021/22 campaign.
Speaking after his side's loss last weekend, the Boro boss lamented his squad's current injury issues, and revealed: “If I’d have had nine fit lads I’d have had nine subs but we didn’t have nine.
“The lads in training have done well, Chuba (Akpom) has done well this week in training, Duncan (Watmore) I thought did well last week.
“I hadn’t got a problem, I thought Kabs (Neeskens Kebano) did alright as well today but once the first goal went in. I thought we might as well use the subs up and give them a bit of time.”
