Earlier this week Boro were linked with Wolves right-back Oskar Buur.
The 22-year-old made his Premier League debut last month but has fallen down the pecking order at Molineux following the arrival of Nelson Semedo from Barcelona
A loan move appears to be on the cards and, speaking to the club’s website, Buur has revealed: “I hope the next step for me is to find a club where I can get some regular playing time and gain more experience to improve even more as a footballer. That’s what I’m looking forward to.
“I’ve been in a Premier League first-team and improved, and learned a lot from the people here. Now I want to go forward and get regular playing time and experience to improve, and help another team achieve their aims.”

Another player who is reportedly attracting interest is AFC Wimbledon left-back Nesta Guinness-Walker.
The 21-year-old, who played for the youth teams at Chelsea and Tottenham, was said to be on the radar of several Championship clubs, including Brentford, Boro and QPR.
Guinness-Walker started on the bench for Wimbledon’s game at Fleetwood last weekend, yet manager Glyn Hodges expects the player to be available again for Saturday’s meeting with Accrington Stanley.
Adomah leaves Forest
Finally, former Boro winger Albert Adomah has left Nottingham Forest by mutual consent.
