Wycombe took the lead after just three minutes after an excellent strike from Uche Ikpeazu, yet goals from Marcus Browne, Marcus Tavernier and Chuba Akpom gave Neil Warnock’s side all three points.

All three players earned praise after the match as Boro moved up to seventh in the Championship table.

Here’s how some supporters reacted on social media:

@Smithy_MFC84: It may have been a win most expected, but after going behind early we’ve shown the right mentality. Evened it up and then took total control before the first 45 was out.

@louisC_M: Well done lads, McNair’s corners are absolutely lethal as well.

@Paul_Chambers_: I’ve been critical of Tav’s end product, very happy to say he is starting to make me look a bit silly now. Took his goal brilliantly, and close to a few more. Keep it going

@pauljen27555462: Great performance from the boys. GET IN! Never in doubt.

@MrTaylorM: Boro looked a good side today with quite a few attacking options. Tav should start every game imo. When it’s on his left cutting in from the right. He takes some stopping!

@TerryBywater07: Look very good when we are aggressive and running at them. Tav very good and Akpom’s hold up play has been spot on.

@smoggyontour86: Great win today but only a few worries, Akpom can’t play up top alone, problems down both wings. If we can sign a few decent players in this window on loan I can’t see why we can’t give it a good go and try and finish in those play-off of places.

@Greggborofan: Great result, I was nervous before the 3rd goal, we have got to take our chances. Tav should have had a hat-trick today, he played really well, got to be starting every week. Happy with that, UTB

@deanjameshill: Enjoying this rotation up front like. Keeps both strikers switched on and hungry and opposing teams have to guess who they’re up against every week #utb
