Both players are surplus to requirements at their current clubs and will be expected to move when the transfer window reopens next year.
Boro were close to signing Bolasie, 31, on loan from Everton on transfer deadline but a deal wasn’t completed in time.

Hide AdWest Brom playmaker Grosicki, 32, also saw a deadline day move collapse after agreeing to join Nottingham Forest on loan.
Boro have been linked with Grosicki this week, while Bolasie has commented on his desire to join Boro last month.
When asked if the aforementioned wingers are the types of players Boro may be able to sign in January, Warnock replied: “Absolutely, I’d have those two tomorrow, and a few others.
“They are the type I think would benefit from coming to us.”

Hide AdWarnock has shored things up at the back for Boro this season, with the Teessiders keeping five clean sheets in their last six games.
But the Boro boss has admitted there aren’t enough goals in the team, and wants his wide players to contribute as well.
“The wing-backs and wide areas we probably haven’t got enough goals but we have got people we haven’t tried there like (Marcus) Browne and (Patrick) Roberts,” Warnock added.
Warnock is hopeful Boro can bolster their attacking options before the January transfer window.

Hide AdFormer Sunderland forward Duncan Watmore remains a free agent and has been training at Rockliffe for the last three weeks.
"I’m just hoping we can do something about that during the international break,” said Warnock when asked about Watmore.
