Warnock has made seven changes to the side which started the Teessiders’ FA Cup game at Brentford last weekend – when a number of players were absent due to a Covid-19 outbreak.

Boro appear back to almost full strength at the Riverside, though, with the side showing just one change from the team’s last league game at Wycombe.

The alteration sees Lewis Wing come into the starting XI for the injured Marcus Browne.

Here’s how some supporters reacted to the team news:

@Baker_Luke: I like Wing, I feel he offers that X factor but he needs games to get his confidence back. Give him a free role in the no. 10 position. We need all the goal threats we can find!

@4TheLoveOfBoro: Back to full strength.

@Smithy_MFC84: I understand Wing’s inclusion, his performance in the reverse fixture is likely to be in Warnock’s thinking, plus we don’t know the fitness of the squad after the Covid outbreak.

@jakemmfc: Pleased with that, same team that won at St Andrew's bar Britt but Chuba deserves his spot after his performance against Wycombe. Great to see Howson back, lots of options off the bench

@jrvarleyMFC: I’m happy with this. I said it last time we started Wing at Birmingham, give him it on the edge of the box and let him do his thing!

@RobSc0tt: Lewis Wing, who less than a month ago scored two against Birmingham, getting pelters for being named in the starting line-up against Birmingham.
