Those changes may see Boro change their formation to play with a back three and wing-backs.

Here’s how some fans reacted to the team news:

@DanielBenno23: Like the look of that team! Back to 3 CBs. Fletch for Britt

@BoroErimus: Happy to see Fletch back in an 11, hope to see NML get some minutes tonight as well. COME ON YOU REDS

@LewisThompson7: Much more like it! Feared the worst with today's line-up, but Fletch back up top, supported by Watmore and Kebano, looks much improved. Back to wingbacks and only 2 CMs! Better!!

@jackydobson4: Our best formation let’s hope we can do something tonight. UTB.

@turnergeorge99: That’s our strongest 11 that. Obviously take fletcher out for Bolasie once he’s back fit

@RobSc0tt: Pretty content with that. Hopefully the change at the back helps restore a bit of solidity. UTB

@MickyBrownless: Big fan if we are 5-2-3. Throw Fry back into the mix and we might stand a chance of those play-offs

@HazelClay: Right. Bit of a shake up and probably needed. Glad to see Fletch back, hope he gets into the game quickly. Come on Boro!
