Britt Assombalonga has returned to the bench after four games out of the matchday squad, with Warnock only naming six substitutes, including Yannick Bolasie.

Here’s how some Boro fans reacted to the team news.

@tom_mcgarry17: Where is the bench?

@smoggyontour86: No Mendez, Bolasie on bench. Spence starting. Britt and Fletcher in the squad.

@RobSc0tt: It makes sense to go with the majority who are going to be here next season. Five of the six on the bench are leaving as it stands.

@tonywaters: If he's accepted that play-offs are now out of reach and he's looking at individuals/partnerships in advance of contract renewals & the summer transfer window, then it makes absolute sense to me.

@Hutchy_6: Spence on the wing > Spence at Full back
