Hide AdIt seems unlikely that Boro will complete any business today, but they do still have time to sign players from English clubs until October 16.
The only thing the Teessders won’t be able to do after today’s 11pm deadline is sign players from abroad, yet they now appear to be targeting loan signings from Premier League clubs.
When will Patrick Roberts be announced?
Thankfully Boro don’t have to rush to get the Roberts deal over the line and still have 11 more days to sign players from English clubs.
The deal should be completed this week and there shouldn’t be any issues with a few finer details to sort out

Hide AdWarnock spoke to the player on Friday and said the 23-year-old is looking forward to coming back to the Riverside.
How many more signings are Boro targeting?
Ideally Warnock would probably want three or four more players, yet that seems unlikely now.
The addition of Roberts will give the side more creativity in the final third, while the side do still appear a little light at the back.
Warnock said last week he has enquired about signing another centre-back after Grant Hall picked up a calf injury at QPR.

Hide AdBoro’s squad is thin but the good thing is that players are adaptable - just look at how Paddy McNair and Anfernee Dijksteel have slotted into a back three this season.
Are we expecting any outgoings?
It’s very unlikely Boro will allow any of their senior players to leave before the end of the window, yet a few may be loaned out to gain more first-team experience.
Stephen Walker probably falls in that bracket, while Nathan Wood may be allowed to leave temporarily if Boro can sign another centre-back.
Warnock also said Marcus Browne could be loaned out, but Boro’s thin squad may prevent that from happening.
