For Middlesbrough, it could provide Neil Warnock with the opportunity he needs to boost his squad ahead of a potential promotion push over the second half of the season.

One name that has emerged as a potential target is that of Manchester United defender Phil Jones.

Boro and Derby County have been identified as potential suitors for the out of favour England international, and according to The Athletic, United will be willing to listen to offers for the 28-year-old.

Kevin Campbell has argued that Reading starlet Michael Olise is ready to make the step up to the Premier League.
