Casting his full set of predictions for Sky Sports ahead of the game, former footballer David Prutton backed a 2-1 win for Boro.

Elsewhere, Prutton tipped Huddersfield Town to beat Birmingham, Millwall to beat Preston, and stalemates in Swansea City vs Stoke, and Derby County vs Cardiff City.

The last time Boro played the Sky Blues, back in 2012, a lively fixture saw Tony Mowbray's side beaten 3-1, with both Kevin Thomson and Julio Arca sent off.

Over the course of their last ten matches, Boro have won on three occasions to Coventry's two, with the other five encounters ending as draws.

As things stand, Warnock's side are 13th in the table with ten points from seven games, while their opponents are 20th with just five points.
