Middlesbrough came from behind twice to claim a 2-2 draw at Preston - but who stood out for Rob Edwards’ side?
Boro fell behind in the first half when Preston forward Lewis Dobbin fired home from the edge of the box. After a bright start to the second half, the visitors’ then drew level when new signing Matt Targett converted from inside the box with 18 minutes remaining.
There was still time for a dramatic finish, though, as Preston defender Jordan Storey headed the hosts ahead two minutes from time. Boro then equalised again in stoppage time after Sontje Hansen’s shot was turned in by Alan Browne.
Here’s how each Boro player fared:

9. Morgan Whittaker - 5
Booked early on for a late tackle near Boro’s penalty area. Had a few more opportunities to run at Preston’s defence at the start of the second half after a quiet first 45 minutes. Didn’t always pick the right option in the final third. Replaced just after the hour mark. 5 | Getty Images

10. Kaly Sene - 5
Was off the pitch after receiving treatment when Preston opened the scoring. Had a few bursts down the left with the ball but struggled to get into the game before being replaced at half time. 5 | Getty Images

11. Tommy Conway - 6
Held the ball up well on the few occasions he received the ball in the first half. Was a nuisance for Preson’s backline even if his work didn’t result in a goal. 6 | Getty Images

12. David Strelec - 6
(for Sene, 45) Made an impact when he came on and looked like a powerful figure who could stretch Preston’s backline. Ball didn’t drop for him in the box yet the early signs are promising. 6 | Getty Images
