The Swans were set to travel from Cardiff Airport on Friday afternoon for the game at the Riverside, yet the match was called off earlier that day.

Ahead of the journey, club chef, Chris Watkins, had prepared 35 meals for the first-team squad and coaching staff who were travelling to Teesside.

And when the postponement was confirmed, the club contacted City Church in Swansea, which provides free meals and clothing for the city's homeless on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.

After the Boro match was called off, Swansea delivered their packed lunches of paninis, chicken breasts, wedges and bread rolls to the church on Friday afternoon.

All professional football in England has been suspended until at least April 3 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
