A total of eight senior players will see their current deals expire at the end of June, while a further three are only contracted to Boro on loan.
We take a closer look at the contractual situation of 11 Boro players who face an uncertain future on Teesside – scroll down and flick through the pages to see them:
9. Patrick Roberts - on loan from Manchester City
Woodgate is a big fan of the Manchester City wideman who made a good impression after signing for the club in January. After picking up a hamstring injury, Roberts stayed on Teesside to complete his rehab and has integrated well with the squad. Boro will be keen to re-sign the 23-year-old on loan yet a decision may rest with his parent club. Photo: Alex Davidson
10. Lukas Nmecha - on loan from Manchester City
The striker has struggled to adapt since moving to the Riverside on loan in January. Despite a couple of flashes, Nmecha's performances for Boro haven't warranted the club trying to re-sign him. Photo: Mike Hewitt
11. Harold Moukoudi - on loan from St Etienne
The imposing centre-back has shown potential despite a mixed start to his Boro career. Moukoudi reportedly had several suitors in January and has been tipped to reach the Premier League so the Teessiders may have competition if they want to re-sign him. Photo: Julian Finney
