The Teessiders are low on numbers due to a lack of signings this summer, while Paddy McNair and George Saville will be away on international duty with Northern Ireland for the next week.
Warnock will make changes as the match progresses but may want to take a closer look at a potential starting XI ahead of Friday’s Carabao Cup tie with Shrewsbury.
Boro played a 3-5-2 formation when they played Plymouth Argyle in a friendly last week and are likely to play a similar system at the start of the campaign.

1. GK: Aynsley Pears
It's still unclear who will start the season as Boro's No. 1 goalkeeper with Pears and Dejan Stojanovic fighting for the shirt. The latter started in the first friendly match against Plymouth last week so Pears may receive an opportunity to impress this time. Photo: Naomi Baker
2. RWB: Djed Spence
Looks suited to the right wing-back role in a 3-5-2 formation, like Boro played in the first game against Plymouth. Warnock rates the youngster highly. Photo: Alex Livesey
3. RCB: Anfernee Dijksteel
May have to be used as a right-sided centre-back at the start of the season due to Boro's lack of options at the back. The full-back proved he can play there at the end of last campaign. Photo: Clive Brunskill
4. CB: Grant Hall
Boro's new signing will surely be one of the first names on the team sheet due to his leadership qualities and the squad's lack of central defenders. Photo: MFC
