Middlesbrough have enquired about the striker, who will be out of contract at the end of the season, over the last few weeks, yet no offers have been lodged for the frontman.

When asked about Diedhiou, 28, and if there have been any more enquiries, Holden said: "No change - Famara trained today. there were one or two bits over the weekend. He's always said he wants to stay at Bristol City"

The 25-year-old has made just 11 Premier League appearances for Scott Parker’s side this season and appears to be available on loan.

According to Football Insider, Boro have opened talks with Fulham over a move for Kamara who is looking to gain more regular game time.

Fulham are said to be in talks with French club Bordeaux over a loan deal for former Sunderland striker Josh Maja, which could make way for a departure at Craven Cottage.

Despite the arrival of Yannick Bolasie from Everton last week, Boro boss Neil Warnock remains keen to bolster his attacking options and is weighing up a move for former Cardiff winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

Derby have also been credited with interest in the 27-year-old, yet it’s believed the player would prefer to link up with Warnock at the Riverside.

A deal for Mendez-Laing wouldn’t have to be completed before today’s 11pm deadline as the player is a free agent.
