Middlesbrough captain George Friend played 90 minutes during a friendly against Celtic on Tuesday.

Boro defenders George Friend and Ryan Shotton both played in the 1-1 draw as they stepped up their recoveries from injury, while new signing Dejan Stojanovic also featured in goal.

Celtic’s Daniel Arzani opener the scoring for the visitors’ reserve side before Boro striker Tyrone O'Neill equalised from the penalty spot.
