What Jonathan Woodgate said about Charlton selection dilemmas, Ravel Morrison and Djed Spence
Boro dropped into the relegation zone last weekend but are just a point behind Lee Bowyer’s side ahead of the game at the Valley.
Woodgate has been handed a selection boost with strikers Britt Assombalonga and Ashley Fletcher available once again.

When asked about his options up front, Woodgate said: “I could play two against Charlton, I might play one against Charlton. I might play one behind Rudy, I might play two up top… Let’s see, I’m sure Lee will be reading my comments.”
Woodgate did confirm teenager Djed Spence will be in the squad after returning to the bench against Leeds and Forest.
“Djed’s done okay and he’ll be in the squad on Saturday,” said the Boro boss when asked about Spence.

“He has ability and has done well on the training pitch,” Woodgate replied. “Lewis Wing has scored seven goals this season, Wingy is doing OK.”
When asked if he sees Morrison as a No 10, Woodgate added: “He can play 10 or 8, Wing has scored seven goals so it is difficult to get him out of the team.”
