5. Dael Fry (hamstring)
The extent of Fry's hamstring injury is unknown after the defender was forced off with the issue during Tuesday's draw with Birmingham. Woodgate was hopeful the injury isn't too serious and said it could have been caused by Boro's busy schedule. Photo: Alex Davidson
6. Patrick Roberts (hamstring)
Another player who was forced off against Birmingham. Roberts has had issues with his hamstring before and it's believed his withdrawal was more precautionary. Photo: Alex Livesey
7. Hayden Coulson (illness)
Coulson was a surprise omission from the squad on Tuesday night with Woodgate revealing afterwards the 21-year-old has been ill. The full-back will be expected to return for next week's game against Blackburn. Photo: Jan Kruger
8. Anfernee Dijksteel (knee)
