The 23-year-old netted his third Premier League goal of the season on Sunday and produced another impressive display as Wolves were beaten 2-1 by Tottenham.

Traore was a topic of debate during TalkSport’s drive time radio show on Tuesday night, with presenters Adrian Durham and Darren Gough saying the wideman would get into Manchester United and Chelsea’s starting XIs.

It was also claimed the former Boro man wouldn’t look out of place at Liverpool or with Premier League champions Manchester City.

The conversation inevitably led to plenty of debate on social media - here’s how some fans reacted:

@andymacca8: Don’t underestimate the work tony pulis did with him. The bloke literally talked him through 90 minutes from the sideline. This progression hasnt just come from nuno.

@Talkingbluds: Traore is such a unique threat. As a Wolves fan, he’s so exciting to watch. He’s twice the player he was last season, improving at a rapid rate, and now adding an end product to his game. Hope his future is in our XI

@lukesuli: Don’t often listen to talksport, turn on... they're discussing that they believe Adama Traore is better than Riyad Mahrez. Turn off.

@SteffanBow: He has improved but he can still frustrate the living daylights out of you

@Teessidetommy: You will not see the top teams queuing up to buy him, he can be unstoppable but he just doesn’t do it often enough

@DannyRosamond: I love all the responses from people who don't watch him week in week out if at all. Unplayable at the minute. Absolute star for us this season. We're 7th in the league and in the last 32 of the Europa league.

@MikeyLenihan: Every game he has 2 defenders on him guaranteed, you might say 3 goals and 3 assist ain't all that, but what the stats won't show, is the abundance of space created for others to work in. He would fit right in at any top club across Europe without a doubt

@garethprotheroe: No he isn’t better than James.

@yahya3444: Adama Traore was at Middlesborough in the prem don’t forget got much more experience that Dan James.
