Patrick Robers and Dael Fry were back on the grass as Jonathan Woodgate prepares his side to host Swansea City at the Riverside this Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Manchester City loanee Roberts hasn’t featured since the 1-1 draw at home to Birmingham City back in January as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Fry has been sidelined for about a month with a thigh injury but the pair are now stepping up their recovery at Boro’s Rockcliffe training base.

Saturday saw Jonathan Woodgate’s side take an important step to securing Championship survival with a 1-0 win at Charlton Athletic.

Paddy McNair’s first-half strike at The Valley helped Boro leapfrog Charlton in the table and move out of the relegation zone at their opponent’s expense.

The result sees Boro’s relegation odds drift to 13/2 with Sky Bet as they are now sixth favourites for the drop, reflecting their 19th placed position in the table.

But things are tight at the bottom with just three points separating Charlton in the final relegation spot and Stoke City in 17th. Luton Town are current favourites to be relegated at 1/7 despite sitting one place and one point above bottom side Barnsley who are priced at 1/6.

Charlton are priced at 8/11 while Hull City saw their odds slashed to 7/4 following a crushing 5-1 defeat at Stoke. Wigan, who are level on points with Hull and Boro are priced at 9/2 while Huddersfield and Stoke are priced at 8/1 and 16/1 respectively.
