The 24-year-old Australian has been in decent form in the Scottish Premiership so far this season with five goals in 14 appearances.

One of Dykes’ five strikes was in the surprise 2-0 win over Celtic last month as he’s since taken his tally to four in his last eight matches.

According to reports, Boro are one of six Championship clubs to have enquired about Dykes along with Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City, Cardiff, Swansea and Derby County.

The former Queen of the South forward stands at 6ft 2in tall and is also capable of playing in an attacking midfield role. And after a slow start to his professional career, Dykes showed a good run of form in the Scottish Championship and was snapped up by Livingston in January 2019, spending the remainder of the 2018-19 campaign at QoS.
