Myles Anderson discusses injuries, Aldershot Town loan spell and kicking on at Hartlepool United
The 30-year-old defender suffered a concussion at Chorley back in August which ultimately kept him out of the first team picture for the rest of 2019.
He was then briefly loaned out to fellow National League side Aldershot Town in order to get some much needed game time before returning to Victoria Park last week.

“To be honest, I didn’t really want to leave but I have to listen to the coaching staff and their advice to me was that unfortunately, through no fault of my own, I’d suffered a couple of pretty bad injuries.
“Losing my teeth last season didn’t actually affect me and I didn’t miss any games but I had to have an operation on my gums at the start of pre-season.
“I was told I’d only miss two or three games but it ended up being quite a bit longer.

“I was even training for seven to 10 days after the incident just not full contact because of the cut I had on my head which needed stitches.
“After that I really didn’t feel right and I realised it was a concussion similar to the one I’d suffered previously at Chester which obviously wasn’t good.”
Since his return, Anderson has featured twice for Pools. Coming off the bench late on in the 2-1 win against Eastleigh before playing his first full 90-minutes for the club this season in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Dover.

“I’ve obviously listened to the advice and I’m here and I’m ready, keen and willing – I want to play for this team.”
